LETTER TO GOD FROM THE AUTHOR

I’m not really good at writing but I just felt I had to right this to my father, savior, and the creature of the world. This is your boy Tim (Coach T) Thompson. I just wanted to say I never thought in a million years you would have chosen me as your tool to saves lives. My mom once told me she named me after Timothy in the bible, but I never really paid it too much attention. Since I’m older I can see situations clearer, everything that I have gone through; being born in Memphis, Tn. to a divorced and single parent mom that had to stand alone with all the odds against her to nourish and teach a young boy how to be a man, in a tough, tough world. It was a well scripted plan created by God. From attending private schools and being around catholic and nationalities from Italian to polish and Irish made me a stronger young man. I am mortally prepared and can teach the spirits of all naturalists. God’s plan was to bring a man into the world that would be strong, and would walk with Governors and Mayors and would never forget the common man.

I knew I was different and I knew the task was a gift from only you. I am so humble to God. I sit here and cry in the early morning as I write this letter to you I don’t deserve the blessing that you having bestowed unto me. You have never abused me, left me or hurt me in anyway. I just want to say thank you Almighty God for all you have done. I have an automatic fluency with the bible no matter where I go because I was anointed by you when I was born.

I studied your son Jesus Christ’s life and knew working for you that I would be talked about, lied on, persecuted by peers and the world for doing the job that I was anointed to do. God has instructed me to take young men/women and tell them that I exist and hear their cries and pain. I have told them you will never forsake them, and you are the Creator of all. Young men with parents that said they would be nothing are now the greatest. The youth now know you are the creator of all, and with faith they can succeed.

Young men now know you are the way to a greater life, there were no mistakes made in their lives, but you created challenges and obstacles in their lives. They didn’t have a father because you created them, of your likeness, you are the greatest father that man or woman can have, I wanted to ask you in this letter why the Locker Room? I heard your answer. You are here and there, and wherever You decide to acknowledge and touch lives it shall be done, You knew the Locker Room was a gathering room for fellowship and I no one would bother me and the players and it would give us comfort. So I used the Locker Room to develop the souls of the young men and You used me as your tool. God I want to be first to say that I am not perfect; I made many mistakes in my life. You knew that I was going to fall to the temptations of the world, so I want to make it perfectly clear, that every sin that I have made I ask for forgiveness.

I thank You God for your forgiveness and continue blessings that are in store for me that I don’t ever deserve, but every storm you have given me, I want to say thank you because there is a blessing through the storm, if you just get in the spirit of God like (Oprah Winfrey) said it starts off as a whisper, but if you don’t obey the blessings then the whisper it gets louder and louder, and it may result to difficult consequences to get your attention.

What You did in Orange Mound and Fayette County man cannot do, it was only through the Grace of God. The odds were too great and any man can see the results are astonishing but truly a miracle that I see clearly today. Generations will talk about The Locker Room for long as the world is here. Lord, I just wanted to say thank you for anointing me with the blessings of reaching men and women of all nationalities, especially the young men in the Locker Room. Lord I when see them and they never talk about the state championships, playing in the NFL or their accolades, what they say is “coach, I miss the meetings in the locker room”.
